No. We use professional-grade gel specifically formulated to minimize sensitivity. Most patients feel a mild cool sensation or slight tingling — nothing sharp. Before the procedure we review your case to make sure you're a good candidate.
Between 45 minutes and 1.5 hours depending on the service. In-office whitening takes 1–2 hours. For at-home visits, we come to your hotel or condo at a time that works for you — you just relax.
Gel whitening isn't ideal for people with active cavities, untreated gum disease, or teeth with visible restorations (crowns, veneers). In those cases, we'll point you toward the right treatment first. Pregnant or nursing patients should also wait.
In-office whitening is $5,500 MXN (~$275 USD) and includes the full session, professional gel, gum protection, and supervision by Dr. Hernández. At-home service (we come to you) is $6,500 MXN (~$325 USD), everything included. No hidden fees. For context, the same procedure runs $400–$700+ in the US or Canada.
